Free Admission for Mom at The Florida Aquarium


A mother’s love is priceless. This Mother’s Day, treat mom to a sea of memories that she will never forget. Introduce her to our cute and playful otters and over 20,000 other amazing sea creatures.

Mother’s Day Weekend at Lowry Park Zoo


Moms matter at the Zoo! Bring mom on Mother’s Day weekend and she gets in for free!  On Saturday, May 9 or Sunday, May 10, moms receive free admission with the purchase of their son’s or daughter’s full-priced admission ticket (paid ticket can be child or adult admission, as applicable). For moms to receive free ticket offer, the paid ticket must be purchased on May 9 or 10 only. Can not combine with other discounts.

Great Explorations will be celebrating Mother’s Day by offering moms FREE admission on May 9th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ll also be creating gifts for these special women in your life. Art Spot for Children


Every Saturday the Museum offers a free drop-in art program from 11a – 2p. Come and let your children explore their creativity by creating an art project. No registration required.  Our projects will vary week to week to tie into the exhibition on view at the museum.

This week’s Art Spot project is called ‘disappearing charcoal.’  The class will learn about charcoal and reductive drawing techniques.

Saturday in the Park with Mom

Saturday in the Park with Mom Sun Coast Family Health Fest is a community event celebrating mothers and promoting healthy families. The event includes live music, children’s activities, entertainment and educational experiences for family members of all ages. Admission to the park is free and food and beverages will be available.  For music lovers, the main stage comes alive for hours of non-stop entertainment, featuring Tampa Bay singer and songwriter Jim Lanier (Trop-Rock and Oldies). Families will also delight in off-stage performances by clowns, jugglers and magicians.   The  children’s play area includes inflatable jumpers, miniature train ride & rockwall. This event includes a Health & Wellness Fair with various lifestyle demonstrations and exhibits.

Children can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. FREE Yoga In The Park – Ongoing
Yoga Downtown Tampa and Tampa Downtown Partnership offer a one-hour FREE Yoga class in Curtis Hixon Park each week. This class is designed for all levels and is offered every Sunday at 5:00pm (at 6pm in winter months during daylight savings time change). If you have a mat or towel please bring it along with your water bottle to the north terraces. Come out and experience Yoga while watching the sunset over the city skyline in the beautiful Curtis Hixon Park!
