Orangutan Egg Hunt–Lowry Park Zoo


Watch the Zoo’s Bornean orangutan family have some Easter fun with their own egg hunt, an annual treat for the primates and zoo guests.

Time: 11 a.m.

Cost: This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass members.

Art Spot for Children


Every Saturday the Museum offers a free drop-in art program from 11a – 2p. Come and let your children explore their creativity by creating an art project. No registration required.  Our projects will vary week to week to tie into the exhibition on view at the museum.

This week, we’re making Greek Drama Masks and will create facial expression cut-outs.

Children can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. Dillydally with Dali takes place under the direction of the museum’s Family Programs Coordinator in the 1st floor Education Classroom. Saturday activities are supported by Jeeves Law Group, P.A.

Fresh Market–Hyde Park


Hyde Park Village Fresh Market will be open on Easter! About the Hyde Park Village Fresh Market: Commerce and community connect the first Sunday of every month from 10 AM to 3 PM, year-round, rain or shine at the free, public Hyde Park Village Fresh Market where guests shop, stroll and enjoy live entertainment. Over 100 vendors showcase their local and regional farm and agricultural products, prepared foods and locally-made hand-crafts and offerings on the pedestrian-friendly streets of beautiful Hyde Park Village. Parking and admission are always complimentary and pets are welcome.

FREE Yoga In The Park – Ongoing
Yoga Downtown Tampa and Tampa Downtown Partnership offer a one-hour FREE Yoga class in Curtis Hixon Park each week. This class is designed for all levels and is offered every Sunday at 5:00pm (at 6pm in winter months during daylight savings time change). If you have a mat or towel please bring it along with your water bottle to the north terraces. Come out and experience Yoga while watching the sunset over the city skyline in the beautiful Curtis Hixon Park!

    The sunset cinema movies start around 8pm this time of year. Not 6pm as listed above. Get there early to get a good spot and don’t forget your snacks!
