Thanks to Pinterest I have an obsession with empty toilet paper rolls. Seriously. I cannot bring myself to throw them away. You never know when you will need them for something. Awhile ago I had a nice stash. We did a deep cleaning of our house. My husband threw them out. I almost had a heart attack. He honestly thought they were trash. I was crushed and immediately started saving them again. Have I ever done anything with them? Once. Yep, one time.
Today that’s going to change. I’m going to share a couple of my favorite toilet paper roll crafts. There are some really cute projects you can make with them.
First up superhero armbands. This one is super easy. Cut your toilet paper roll in half. Then cut a slit in the back of each half. Decorate your bands however you line. That’s it! This is very simple and even very young children can do this one.
Next up is little surprise boxes. My wilds love surprises of all shapes and sizes. Decorate your roll. Personalize it with words, shapes, etc. Fold in one of the ends. Fill up the roll with little prizes such as candy or stickers. Then fold up the other end. You then have a cute little surprise roll.
Last one is the owl. How cute is this? Fold in one of the sides and make it flat so that it will stand up. Fold down the other side leaving the points to be the ears. Then decorate to look like an owl. You can get as fancy as you like with this one. If you want to get very detailed you can cut out semi circles of colored paper and glue them on to look like feathers. I especially think owls are great for fall.
Do you have an fun toilet paper roll projects to share? Is there anything you now save thanks to Pinterest?
