Introducing Sheriss, a Mom Making the Most of Her 48 Hours

Hi Tampa Bay moms!  Whew!  Last week was so much fun!  So many giveaways and amazing contributors!  As founder of Tampa Bay Moms Blog, I couldn’t be more excited to share our new resource with you and officially start connecting with moms across the Bay area!

So who am I? I’m a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. My husband and I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this summer. Both of us were born and raised in Tampa and knew a lot of the same people growing up, yet never knew each other. It wasn’t until after graduating from Florida State
University, and moving back to Tampa, that we met. (I may have been dating his friend at the time!) Nevertheless, here we are, 13 years later, preparing to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

In February 2010 we welcomed our daughter, Harper, into our lives.  She definitely keeps us on our toes!

As a working mom (I’m a special education teacher), I absolutely love the weekends!  It’s our chance to hang out, veg out, and re-connect as a family. From playing at our favorite parks, to impromptu trips to the beach, the weekends rock!

My family is my rock.  I come from a strong family unit and want to create and nurture that experience for my daughter.

I love connecting with other moms.  It’s what led me to start Tampa Bay Moms Blog.  And, these days I get to connect with moms bright and early on Monday mornings (5:40 a.m.) as a part of the WTSP Channel 10 Mom Squad!

How do you make the most of your weekends?

Awesome beach picture, beautiful family! Thanks for all you do. I don’t think we thank our teachers enough (even though this week is teacher appreciation week, one week is not enough!)
