Alisha is a work-from-home mom who juggles real estate and marketing communications consulting businesses while trying to be an involved parent to her little wild man, Leo. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., she has been a Tampa-area resident for 10 years and has no plans to ever leave the sunshine. She loves vintage home decor and old-house character, dreams about DIY projects and enjoys good food, wine and social dining experiences. A Pasco County family, Alisha and her husband Diego love living the Florida lake life on their own little piece of paradise in Lutz. Alissa is mom to a 1 year old boy who’s determinedly thrusting himself into toddler-hood, wife to a man not afraid torun through the grocery store making race car sounds, and kitty mama to 2 one year old cats rescued at 2 weeks old. She attended USF for Mass Communications and works in television production. In what non-parents call spare time, she practices aerial yoga, enjoys photography and video editing, paddle boarding, and exploring new adventures to be had with a toddler.

Amanda B. is a first-time mom to Evan, born in November 2013, and a devoted wife to Jeremy, a ruggedly handsome forensic structural engineer. She’s a graduate of the University of Tampa with a political science degree and while her professional career was in law, Amanda’s current role as a stay-at-home mom (aka “domestic engineer”) is the most rewarding work of her life. She currently resides with her family in Plant City, along with Jeter, their spunky wiener dog, and a plethora of strawberry fields.

Amanda L. is a creative spirit and busy soul. She loves writing, being outdoors, and surfing social media. She has beenTBMB (1)married to her teammate for life for 6 years, Johnathan, who works in commercial maintenance. She is the mom of the 3 coolest boys in Tampa Bay, Mason (5), Lucas (3), and Jackson (1). She’s a 9th grade English and writing teacher in Hillsborough County and holds a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Memphis. She is originally from Mississippi but she and her family have called Tampa home for nearly 3 years. Her duties as “Mama” and her full-time teaching gig keep her pretty busy! As if that weren’t enough, she and her husband practice an untraditional form of homeschooling called Unschooling with their kids. People often ask her “how do you do it?!” but she simply dons her SuperWoman cape and gets the job done. Amy is a St. Petersburg-based writer who believes that forming a collegiate allegiance early in life can lead to academic success. Her five-title “College Bound” series includes: When I Grow Up, I’ll Be a Gator (Nole, Bull or Tiger) and When I Grow Up, I’m Bama Bound. The books are featured at Barnes and Noble, MacotBooks.com and specialty retailers. When she’s not writing or running, Amy enjoys boating with her family, teaching her two future Gators about the University of Florida and exercising her “third child,” a feisty Maltese named Bojangles.

Angela is a Long Island native, but has called Tampa Bay her home since July of 2005. She currently lives in St. Pete Beach with her husband and their daughter Sophia, born October of 2014. Though a new Mom herself, she’s a veteran Stepmom to three beautiful girls. An elementary school teacher by trade, Angela is enjoying her new role as a stay-at-home Mom. When she’s not trying to keep up with all things “girlie”, Angela can be found reading, scrapbooking, editing photos or singing at the top of her lungs (mostly in the car). Araceli

IMG_2070Araceli is originally a transplant from Brooklyn, NY. While the city will always have a piece of her heart, she can’t imagine a better place than Tampa Bay to raise a family. She is mom to four amazing, rambunctious – and oftentimes amazingly rambunctious – children ranging in age from six through 12, and wife to an awesome hubby who treats her like a princess. When she isn’t teaching a classroom of first graders, you can find Araceli taking on a DIY project, practicing her ukulele skills, or exploring – and eating her way through – the Tampa Bay area with her family.

Ashley is mom to a literal three ring circus. Between her wife of 13 years, their 3 year old son, 8 horses, too manyme (2)dogs to count, goats, chickens, cats and her recent stint as a foster parent, there is always something going on. Less urgent care visits than one would assume, Ashley is typically found around her and her partner’s farm where Ashley teaches horseback riding lessons. Their son T is a handful of all American boy who has had therapy since nearly day one for SPD and other spectrum issues.


Bernadette

Bernadette is a native Florida girl, originally from Palm Beach Gardens. Currently she can be found wandering around the St. Pete and Tampa Bay areas. Bernadette is a stay at home mom to 5 awesome kids. The boys are Glenn (13), Ben (12), and Garrett (5). The girls are Tierney (10) and Emmaleigh (4). Most of her days are pretty random and usually have some form of adventure, photography and craftiness to them. Bright calls Tampa home after spending 17 years in New York City. Originally from Atlanta, she graduated from FSU with a B.S. in Communications. Prior to a career in Motherhood, Bright worked in a Manhattan advertising agency, as well as a popular cable TV network in Promotions and Sponsorships. She also did Public Relations for a national urban ministry. Bright is now a stay-at-home mom who is married to her best everything, has four active kids and is passionate about moms! Charlee is a Tampa native and currently resides in Valrico with her two boys (ages 5 & 2), and husband, Ben. Charlee is a teacher by day, and recipe developer by mealtime. She loves being in the kitchen and propping her boys on the counter to assist as her sous chefs. She believes that involving her whole family in the process will foster healthy habits and an appreciation of where food comes from. Charlee has a food blog called Little Red Bird Kitchen where she posts recipes and the reactions of her little guys and big guy, too. Charlee enjoys reading, pinning, crafting, and finding tasty local eats. She loves glam vintage, wears Chuck Taylor Converse everyday, and has been known to rock the bow tie. Crystal

Crystal hails from Central Eastern Illinois – no where near Chicago! She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema and Photography and an MBA in Marketing. Although she left the cornfields of Illinois to live the life in Florida, after having her son, she misses the simple life that she tried so hard to leave almost 13 years ago. Crystal and her husband went to the same high school, however, they didn’t officially meet until after college. They moved to Florida to start a new life. Engaged during a Phish concert, the two married 8 years after they moved to Florida. They welcomed their only child in 2012. Their ginger son is their life and he continues to crack them up on a daily basis. Crystal still finds time to be creative outside of taking care of her son and household. She paints wine glasses, paints on canvas, and photographs her son, friends, and family. She also loves coloring in those adult coloring books! Still waiting on the Harry Potter book to arrive.


Cynthia

Cynthia is a Reading Coach who resides in Riverview with her husband Andre of five years. She’s a mommy to one beautiful, energetic two year old Arianna. She graduated from USF with a Master’s degree in Reading Education. In her free time, she enjoys, photography, pretending to be crafty and trying out new family spots around Tampa. In between her messy, fun-loving and chaotic life she finds time to share her journey as a mom and wife in her blog lifescynsations.blogspot.com. She likes to take advantage of every special family moment and is very thankful for her not so perfect life.

Dianelly is a full time baby’s cord blood stem cell educator with an entrepreneur spirit. She is originally from Medellin, Colombia, but has lived in Tampa Bay for the majority of her life. She married her high school sweet heart, Hector, who fully supports her in all of her crazy business ideas and have owned 3 businesses together. They were blessed with two beautiful and highly energetic boys; Gabby (5) and Miggy (2), who take up all of her free time and wake her up early on the weekends. Dianelly has a degree in Business and has put off owning her own business to completing her MBA and enjoying her family. When she makes it past the time all of her men are sleeping, you can find her researching holistic practices, natural remedies and healthy recipes.

Jackie moved to the Tampa Bay area from Brooklyn, NY in 2010. Currently her and her husband Adam live in Plant City. She is learning how to balance being a new mom, working full time, and trying to get back into a healthy lifestyle (which includes training for full and half marathons) after dealing with pregnancy complications that caused heart failure. Jennifer Sullivan is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer who specializes in women’s fitness – prenatal, postpartum and beyond. She is the wife of a busy attorney and mother of 3, Ripken (Nov ‘10), Brooks (July ‘12) and a baby girl, Palmer born in August. Jennifer keeps busy with her family teetering on basic survival and making wonderful memories all while trying not to stress over the messy floors, piles of laundry and overwhelming todo list. When she isn’t busy helping other women get fit, healthy and strong through her Baby Boot Camp and Karna Fitness businesses, she fits in her own workouts. Her priority is her young family of 5, squeezing in a date night with her handsome hubby to keep the passion alive, and monthly mom nights out to maintain her sanity.

Jenn is a busy, working, single mom to an incredibly sassy 3 year old daughter. After living in South Florida for the last 4 years, Jenn is happy to be back in the west coast. A graduate from the University of South Florida, as well as Stetson College of Law, Jenn now works full-time as a prosecutor. When she’s not working, Jenn is exploring the Tampa Bay area with her daughter or putting her Disney annual pass to good use. She is always on a quest to successfully balance career, parenting, her family, and overall fabulousness.

Kathy’s family moved to Tampa when she was 5, and aside from a few years at the University of Florida (Go Gators!), she’s never lived anywhere else. From Gasparillas and Super Bowls, to hurricanes and the “snowstorm” of ’77, Kathy has seen it all. She’s Irish by heritage, Greek by marriage, and mom to one brilliant little boy. She’s an avid sports fan and recently lived her Disney-geek dream as a member of the 2015 Disney Parks Moms Panel. K.D. Brown is a working wife, children’s book author, and new mom still waiting for the parenting manual to arrive. She lives with her wonderful husband, Ryan, and their two kids in the Brandon/Riverview area of Tampa. K.D. has an English degree from the University of South Florida and has published two children’s books. Laura S. is crazy about her husband of 6 years, Travis and their two kids: Jack, age 5, and Eliya, age 4. Laura and her family are new to Tampa Bay, having recently moved from Arizona. She has lived her entire life in the West, growing up in northern Nevada, then on to college at Idaho State University to obtain a degree in Mass Communication and most recently a 14 year stint in Phoenix. Leah is a St. Petersburg native. Married to her real life hero, Ryan, of 4 years. Leah stays busy chasing after their little ones; three year old daughter Rylee and ten month old son Jake. She has enjoyed the past year as a stay-at-home momma and returns to work as a teacher of visually impaired students at the end of summer. Although not a chef, Leah spends mornings making her famous pancakes and teaching her daughter the secrets of her almond cheesecake. Free moments are spent with her family strolling the streets of the Magic Kingdom, completing a DIY project in their home, and Sunday family dinners. Leslie has lived in Seminole for a little over a year, following recent moves from South Florida and Philadelphia due to her clergy husband’s career. An attorney in a former life, she is now a stay-at-home mom to an energetic two year old, with another on the way. Leslie loves to travel, work on her fitness at the local YMCA, and catch up on movies and books whenever possible. Lindsay was raised on Anna Maria Island before attending University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) eventually earning her degree in Varying Exceptionalities. Lindsay is married to her biggest crush, Mike. She is the proud stepmom of two girls, 10 and 7, and is a momma to the love of her life, her son, who is almost 3. Lindsay and Mike are also expecting a new little bundle (gender unknown) this spring! Lindsay is a proud member of Chi Omega and The Junior League of Tampa. Lindsay has a personal and professional passion for working to better the lives of others. She is devoted to her community and her family and loves bringing happiness to everyone around her. Lindsay is a wannabe foodie and lover of all things romantic. She craves travel and has a special place in her heart for anywhere she can find shrimp and grits or a hot sandy beach. Lindsay is obsessed with date nights, coffee, wine, and surprises! She lives to pull off a great surprise for someone else! Lindsay continues her career as a Special Education Specialist and is currently continuing to improve her glide across this very wiggly, ever-moving tightrope called motherhood.

Marjorie

Originally a Michigander, Marjorie believes she should have been born in the Sunshine State and loves everything Tampa Bay has to offer. She is still just as fascinated by the palm trees, beaches, and endless sunshine as the day she first called Florida home four years ago. Marjorie has a wonderful husband – a tall, redhead named Kyle (you can’t miss him!) – and a super sweet 11-month-old boy named Connor. They live in Hillsborough County but enjoy exploring all parts of Tampa Bay. Marjorie has a passion for fitness and healthy living and incorporates physical activity into her daily life – whether she’s taking classes at the gym or going for walks at the park with her son. She also enjoys testing out local restaurants with her family and is always up for a good cup of coffee!

Melanie

Melanie is the mother to two beautiful boys, ages 3 and 8. She worked as a news reporter in multiple markets across the country including Tampa Bay and is currently the spokeswoman for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. Her husband is a news reporter for a local station so you can imagine how busy it can get around her home. They have lived in Tampa Bay for six years and love everything this area has to offer. Originally from Tennessee, she misses the mountains, not the winters! She has been writing since she was just a small child and has been fortunate to make a career of it. Since she left her journalism career for public relations, she is excited to focus more on her creative writing, blogging, and working harder to get a children’s book published. Her job both as a reporter and now as a public information officer in law enforcement puts her in the middle of some pretty crazy things so trying to find that balance with motherhood can be a challenge but somehow she makes it work. She is very excited to become a contributor to the Tampa Bay Moms Blog and look forward to sharing her perspective on motherhood, breaking news, and still being there for her little boys.

Michelle is a full-time working mom who stays busy chasing after her 3 year old son, Kyran, with the help of her wonderful husband, Sam. She’s a not-so-extreme couponer and an avid DIYer. Michelle is a graduate from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) and a Sigma Delta Tau alumni. Quincey is a former high school English teacher and current adjunct for the First Year Composition program at the University of South Florida, which is also her alma mater. A native of the Orlando area, she cannot imagine living or mom-ing anywhere other than the Sunshine State. She and her husband Brian have two active, quirky and hilarious little girls and live in the Westchase area. In her spare time, Quincey avidly devours books, walks and bikes to stay active, researches slow cooker recipes, and tries to vacuum up pet hair quicker than her two fat cats and one lean greyhound can spread it around.

Rebecca is an author, speaker, entrepreneur, and supporter of parents finding their own path. She’s the Founder and Executive Director of The Consciously Parenting Project and holds a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, working as a holistic therapist and consultant. Rebecca has called Tampa Bay home since 2006. She currently lives in Tarpon Springs with her 2 boys, Zach, 16, and Josh, 11, her fiancé, Tra, who is a work from home IT guy, his kids, Claudia, 18, and Nathan, 21, along with a moody Chihuahua, a loud cat, and a hedgehog. In her spare time, Rebecca loves to travel and cook, and at sunset, she can usually be found at Sunset Beach in Tarpon where she will be getting married in June.

Sara is a creative at heart, and loves anything that starts with the letters DIY. She has been a Type 1 diabetic for over 15 years, and despite living with a disease that requires constant calculating, she’s still terrible at math. A former HS Spanish teacher, she is now a mom of two wildly sweet little girls, wife to Chris (who, fortunately, is much better at math than she is), and a style-loving HS senior photographer in Tampa, FL. She and Sarah E Pearsall Bio photoher family moved to the Tampa Bay area in May of 2015 from West Palm Beach, FL and is currently a writing instructor at the University of South Florida and a freelance food writer. Mom to two delightfully unique boys, one on the autism spectrum, Sarah is deeply passionate about autism awareness and education. As a special needs homeschooling family, Sarah hopes to bring her experiences as a mom to her writing and share them with others going through the same things.

Shawna is originally from Miami, Florida, but has called the Tampa Bay area her home since 2005. She graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Florida where she also met her wonderful husband. They welcomed their first child, a beautiful boy named Blake, in 2012, and have enjoyed the excitement, energy, and laughter he brings to their lives every day. Shawna is a working mom who balances teaching high school, choreographing for the school’s dance team, experimenting in the kitchen, crafting, planning events, venturing around the Tampa Bay area, and of course, spending time with the amazing family and friends she is fortunate to have.

Tracy has been married to her wonderful husband for 12 years and they have two beautiful children: Steven is 10 and Sadie is 7. They are both originally from Michigan, and they moved to Land O Lakes 13 years ago. Tracy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and worked at a Worldwide Staffing Firm as a Branch Manager before deciding to stay home with Steven. Tricia is a full-time working mama of 2 energetic children (Luca 4 and Gia 1 ½). Weekends are spent at kid’s activities/sports, exploring new restaurants or at the pool/beach. But nothing is possible without her wonderful husband, Brent, who is a stay-at-home “Super-Dad”. Tricia earned her M.A. in Communication from Western Illinois University. She’s originally from Chicago and has a 12-year career in Human Resources. She’s lived across the US, most recently Raleigh, NC and now the Tampa Bay area with her family. In her spare time, Tricia loves crafting, baking, and aspires to be a published author.
