Baby/Toddler Programs at Hillsborough County Public Libraries

Baby Time, Motion Commotion, Toddler Time, Jump, Jive And Jam!, Story Time, Alphabet Club, Movin’ and Groovin’, Baby & Toddler Yoga, Wee Artists, Bilingual Story Time, and Baby Sign Language. These are just a few of the 30 minute pre-school activities provided by your local library. Please visit the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative website to find the location and time most convenient for you. Daily programs vary by location. Check it out and find some hands on fun with your little ones!

Dinos Alive! at Lowry Park Zoo

They’re baaack! For the first time in 65 million years, dinosaurs will take over Tampa Bay and roam the Zoo every day! Grab the whole family and get ready to be surrounded by life size dinosaurs as you experience Dinos Alive! Get up-close and personal with varying species of dinosaurs that move, roar and interact with you! Learn about dinosaurs through the eyes of a paleontologist and connect with present-day species of wildlife on the brink of extinction. Feast with Dino-sized food and drinks and enjoy this larger than life adventure with the entire family.

Time:  9:30 am –  5:00 pm (Staurday & Sunday as well)

IKEA Tampa Kids Academy FREE Fun for kids

When school is out, get in on the fun at IKEA Tampa Kids Academy! The Academy is FREE for kids 12 and under. To participate, show up any time between 11a.m. & 12p.m.
March 17th – Top off your St. Patricks Day, make your very own St. Pat’s Hat!

2017 Mayor’s River O’Green

Celebrate the love of all things Irish. See the Hillsborough River turn green and enjoy a day of music, activities, food truck and more.

Time: 11:00 am –  4:00 pm

Michaels Kids Club Saturday Crafts

Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project. New craft project each week. Sign up in store, online or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises. Supplies are included. Please see website to find a location near you.

Cost: $2 per child

Repticon Tampa Reptile & Exotic Animal Show

Repticon runs the two-day Repticon Reptile & Exotic Animal Shows and also the ReptiDay One Day Reptile Events. Both our reptile and exotic animal show series feature animal breeders from around the country, vendors offering top quality reptile pets from around the world, live animal encounters, a great mix of exhibitors and vendors displaying all types of reptile and exotic pet products and merchandise, and hands-on live animal presentations that are educational and fun for the whole family. Most of the pets and pet products found at Repticon are offered for sale at deeply discounted prices you won’t find in any retail store.

Time: 10:00 am –  4:00 pm

Cost: $10 (Adult), $5 (Ages 5-12), ages 4 and under are free.

Movie Night on the Lawn

Enjoy a night with your family under the stars at a Movie Night with food trucks. Grab some dinner from food trucks selling a variety of menu choices starting at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy the family-friendly movie, “Trolls”, at 7:30p.m. on the front lawn of Seminole Heights United Methodist. Bring your own blankets, chairs, and pillows so you can watch the movie in comfort. All are welcome. This event is free.

Sunday, March 19th

Florida Hospital Center Ice Public Skate

The Florida Hospital Center ice Facility offers several public and community oriented programs designed to combine fitness and entertainment for patrons of all ages. Visit our website to see the full public skate calendar!

Time:  1:00 pm –  3:00 pm

Location: 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd Wesley Chapel

Cost:  Admission is $9.75 + tax ($7.75 + tax for seniors, veterans, and active duty military) and skate rental is $4.75 + tax.

2017 Bolts Family Carnival

The Bolts Family Carnival is the Lightning Foundations marquis annual fundraising event. Funds raised at this years Carnival will enable the Lightning Foundation to support the American Heart Association, Feeding Tampa Bay, Junior Achievement, the V Foundation, and the Tampa Bay History Center! Suite signing passes, video game passes, and Bolts Rookie Combine passes can be purchased starting on March 1st.

Time: 1:00 pm –  4:00 pm

Location:  Amalie Arena 401 Channelside Dr, Tampa

Cost:  Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children ages 12 and under.

Open Play at We Rock the Spectrum

With open play, children are welcome to come in and enjoy the same activities that are offered during the private sessions and private parties. This includes full use of the gym with all equipment, and an arts & crafts section that has: beading, painting, lanyards and much more.

Time: 12:00 pm –  5:00 pm

Location: We Rock the Spectrum – Tampa 1076 E Brandon Blvd Unit 102, Brandon

Cost: $12 per child. Siblings will be discounted to $10.
