Friday, March 10th

Baby/Toddler Programs at Hillsborough County Public Libraries

Baby Time, Motion Commotion, Toddler Time, Jump, Jive And Jam!, Story Time, Alphabet Club, Movin’ and Groovin’, Baby & Toddler Yoga, Wee Artists, Bilingual Story Time, and Baby Sign Language. These are just a few of the 30 minute pre-school activities provided by your local library. Please visit the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative website to find the location and time most convenient for you. Daily programs vary by location. Check it out and find some hands on fun with your little ones!

Dinos Alive! at Lowry Park Zoo

They’re baaack! For the first time in 65 million years, dinosaurs will take over Tampa Bay and roam the Zoo every day! Grab the whole family and get ready to be surrounded by life size dinosaurs as you experience Dinos Alive! Get up-close and personal with varying species of dinosaurs that move, roar and interact with you! Learn about dinosaurs through the eyes of a paleontologist and connect with present-day species of wildlife on the brink of extinction. Feast with Dino-sized food and drinks and enjoy this larger than life adventure with the entire family.

Time:  9:30 am –  5:00 pm (Staurday & Sunday as well)

Florida Strawberry Festival

When you visit the Florida Strawberry Festival, we want you to see, taste and smell all that the strawberry has to offer! We will have 11 full days of strawberries, shortcake, big name concerts, rides, stage shows, attractions, food galore, exhibits, displays, contests, competitions and a berry sweet time for the whole family!

Time: 10:00 am – 10:00 pm

Location:  303 Lemon St Plant City

Cost: Adults (ages 13+): $10 Children (ages 6-12): $5 Children (ages 5 and under): FREE with paid adult admission

Saturday, March 11th

 

Tampa Bay Area Renaissance Festival

Take a time-travel adventure into the 16th century at the annual Bay Area Renaissance Festival! Join our Queen in a jubilee! Journey back in time as more than 100 merchants contribute to the atmosphere of this charming 16th century village. Experience live armored jousting, 12 stages of entertainment, 7 theme weekends, and fun and food for the whole family! The Festival is open weekends, with a special day for schools and seniors on Festival Friday, March 31st, 2017. The Festival is open Rain or Shine. Parking at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival is always free! Discount tickets are available at participating Walgreens stores and at MOSI.

Main Street Zephyrhills Founder’s Day

Zephyrhills 107th Founder’s Day Celebration. There will be plenty of fun for the whole family!! Parade Starts at 10:00 AM Parade Theme is Classic Board Games.

Time: 9:00 am –  2:00 pm

Location: Main Street Zephyrhills 38434 5th Ave, Zephyrhills

Cost: Admission is FREE

Michaels Kids Club Saturday Crafts

Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project. New craft project each week. Sign up in store, online or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises. Supplies are included. Please see website to find a location near you.

Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Location: At participating Micheal’s locations

Cost: $2 per child

 

Sunday, March 12th

Florida Hospital Center Ice Public Skate

The Florida Hospital Center ice Facility offers several public and community oriented programs designed to combine fitness and entertainment for patrons of all ages. Visit our website to see the full public skate calendar!

Time:  1:00 pm –  3:00 pm

Location: 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd Wesley Chapel

Cost:  Admission is $9.75 + tax ($7.75 + tax for seniors, veterans, and active duty military) and skate rental is $4.75 + tax.

Hillsborough Day of Play

Bring your family out for a FREE glorious day of play and learn how the simple act of playing can help your child grow and learn. Families with young children will enjoy a day of live entertainment, prize drawings and plenty of outdoor games. Come and learn about the value of play!

Time:  10:00 am –  3:00 pm

Gasparilla Music Festival Kids Fest at the Glazer Museum

Families can enjoy FREE concerts throughout the afternoon including the Grammy Award winning kids band Secret Agent 23 Skidoo performing at GCM at 2:15pm. Admission to the Museum will be free all day on March 12 and will feature musical kids programming including a silent disco, recycled instrument making, instrument petting zoo and more.

Time:  1:00 pm –  6:00 pm

Location: Glazer Children’s Museum 110 W Gasparilla Plz, Tampa

Cost:  FREE Museum admission from 1-6pm
