Friday, February 24th

Baby/Toddler Programs at Hillsborough County Public Libraries

Baby Time, Motion Commotion, Toddler Time, Jump, Jive And Jam!, Story Time, Alphabet Club, Movin’ and Groovin’, Baby & Toddler Yoga, Wee Artists, Bilingual Story Time, and Baby Sign Language. These are just a few of the 30 minute pre-school activities provided by your local library. Please visit the Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative website to find the location and time most convenient for you. Daily programs vary by location. Check it out and find some hands on fun with your little ones!

Friends & Family Fridays at Potter’s House Studio

Paint with your friends and/or family any time on Friday and your per person studio fees are only $5.00! (Due to the need for additional support staff, planned parties for groups of 8 or more people are subject to pricing stated above.)

Time: 12:00 pm –  9:00 pm

Location: 3627 S. Westshore Blvd. Tampa

Cost:  $5 per person

Fourth Friday in Downtown Tampa

A monthly celebration of Downtown Tampa’s rich arts and culture scene! Visit and enjoy exhibits and programs at participating arts & culture venues. While there, pick up a Fourth Friday wristband, and up to two complimentary Pirate Water Taxi trips to get you from venue to venue. (4PM TO 8:30PM). Wristbands are available only at participating venues during their posted special event hours (see schedule). Limit one wristband per arts + culture venue visitor. *(schedule is subject to change)

Time: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Saturday, February 25th

 

Bay Area Renaissance Festival

Take a time-travel adventure into the 16th century at the annual Bay Area Renaissance Festival! Join our Queen in a jubilee! Journey back in time as more than 100 merchants contribute to the atmosphere of this charming 16th century village. Experience live armored jousting, 12 stages of entertainment, 7 theme weekends, and fun and food for the whole family! The Festival is open weekends, with a special day for schools and seniors on Festival Friday, March 31st, 2017. The Festival is open Rain or Shine. Parking at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival is always free! Discount tickets are available at participating Walgreens stores and at MOSI.

Cost: Adult Admission $17.95, Child Admission (5-12 years) $9.95

Micheals Kids Club Saturday Crafts

Kids 3 and up can enjoy a quick project. New craft project each week. Sign up in store, online or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises. Supplies are included. Please see website to find a location near you.

Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Cost: $2 per child

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

It’s a chance to see real airplanes, remote control planes, model trains in operation and on exhibit, and classic and exotic car displays. Antique railroad maintenance equipment, train artifacts and memorabilia will be on site for guests to explore. As part of the EAA Young Eagles Program, kids ages 8-17 will be able to take free airplane flights (limited to the first 100) and Boys Scouts will have an opportunity to earn their aviation merit badge, and/or the featured annual merit badge at the event.

Time: 10:00 am –  3:00 pm

Cost: Free admission; $5 to park.

Sunday, February 26th

 

Tampa Stories at Glazer Children’s Museum

The Museum is proud to partner with Tampa-Hillsborough County Library System to bring real stories from some of Tampa’s famous African American citizens. The Library System curated stories from the oral history collection that kids can experience themselves at the Museum in our newest temporary exhibit. Throughout the month GCM will also be honoring the great Ann Lowe and taking on some of her famous dress designs.

Time:  10:00 am –  5:00 pm

Florida Hospital Center Ice Public Skate

The Florida Hospital Center ice Facility offers several public and community oriented programs designed to combine fitness and entertainment for patrons of all ages. Visit our website to see the full public skate calendar!

Time:  6:00 pm –  8:00 pm

Location: 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd Wesley Chapel

Cost:  Admission is $9.75 + tax ($7.75 + tax for seniors, veterans, and active duty military) and skate rental is $4.75 + tax.
