MOMs Friday Night Market on Main

Details: M.O.M’s Friday Night Market was created to enhance the downtown New Port Richey community and to add shopping and entertainment options on Friday evenings. The majority of the vendor fee proceeds will be donated to Pasco Pet Fest, and Guardian ad Litem Foundation. The Market is held weekly on Friday, from 5 to 9 p.m., 12 months out of the year.

Explore the stars without trekking far from home, for a price that’s out of this world: Free. The planetarium offers two free public shows on Friday nights at 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. when the college is in session. Shows are hosted by resident astronomer Dr. Craig Joseph and feature live narration with images displayed by computer-controlled projectors.

The planetarium comfortably seats 46 and admission is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Planetarium shows last approximately 45 minutes, and no one can be admitted after the show begins. Children are welcome as long as they are 5 or older. The observatory and portable telescopes are available to the public after planetarium shows, weather permitting. Because of the extended daylight hours during the summer, telescope viewing is possible only after the 8:15 show.

Dive In Movie

Bring your noodles, floats and chairs to lounge by the pool while watching a movie on our inflatable screen out under the stars. Snacks, drinks and glow jewelry will be sold. No outside coolers or food allowed. Event will be cancelled in inclement weather. This week’s movie: Frozen

Child ID Program

Birth-18 years, Stop by and participate in this free Child ID program offered by the Florida 21st Masonic District of St. Petersburg, FL.  Parents/legal guardians will receive a free CD that will include a digital still photo, digital video interview and digital fingerprints of their child.  No information is retained or shared by the Masons.  No appointment needed.  Children will be process in order of arrival time.  The process time takes approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.  For additional information, please contact the Youth Services department at 727-394-6913.

Art Spot for Children

Every Saturday the Museum offers a free drop-in art program from 11a – 2p. Come and let your children explore their creativity by creating an art project. No registration required.  Our projects will vary week to week to tie into the exhibition on view at the museum.

Children can discover the creative world of Dali through games, puzzles and arts + crafts activities which educate and encourage family interaction. Dillydally with Dali takes place under the direction of the museum’s Family Programs Coordinator in the 1st floor Education Classroom. Saturday activities are supported by Jeeves Law Group, P.A.

The Dali + Beyond Film Series features unusual movies, art films, and films about art that share a common enthusiasm for fantasy, dreams, creativity and the imagination.

This week’s movie: Leonardo Dream of Flight (Leonardo da Vinci finds it difficult to pursue his own dreams while serving as the Duke’s court artist, but young Roberto takes risk to convince the master not to give up on his dreams. This HBO produced documentary was created for a young audience.)

FREE Yoga In The Park

Yoga Downtown Tampa and Tampa Downtown Partnership offer a one-hour FREE Yoga class in Curtis Hixon Park each week. This class is designed for all levels and is offered every Sunday at 5:00pm (at 6pm in winter months during daylight savings time change). If you have a mat or towel please bring it along with your water bottle to the north terraces. Come out and experience Yoga while watching the sunset over the city skyline in the beautiful Curtis Hixon Park!
