Although not technically the weekend, don’t miss Rock the Park, Tampa’s FREE monthly music concert series scheduled the first Thursday of every month.
Located at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Rock the Park provides a stadium styled seating and a lively atmosphere to listen to great local talent. Food and drinks on the premises, who could ask for a better picnic spot!

Friday, June 6
Celebrate National Doughnut Day (and the last day of school Hillsborough County) with a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts (when you purchase any beverage). If your kids are anything like mine, doughnuts are a rare treat and watching the process is quite entertaining. Something worth noting, National Doughnut Day didn’t just appear overnight, it was established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to raise funds for people in need during the depression era, and is observed every year on the first Friday of June.

Join the Rays for their home opener against the Mariners! This ballpark is beyond kid friendly, featuring a 10,000 gallon tank with live cownose rays, you can bring your own food (see rules) and all first time kids get a button and special greeting at guest services.

Come kick off the summer and chill out on Boca Ciega Bay for the 3rd Annual Aqua Mania Festival, an interactive day of family fun. Festivities include live entertainment, artisans, craftsmen, vendors, beer/wine, kid’s area, water themed games rides and contests. P.S. We hear that the kid’s area has a beachfront water slide!!

11th Annual Tampa Model Train Show All about trains! With over 300 vendors, this show offers both modelers and collectors something to see.
