A Complete Thanksgiving Meal for 6 for Under $35

thanks profile

Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away!   It’s time to start planning that Thanksgiving feast.  I have hosted Thanksgiving for family and friends for the past 10 or so years.  I love to cook, so this is my all-time favorite holiday.  It’s an excuse for me to go all out and cook up a storm.  I’m fortunate that my employer provides us with a very generous Thanksgiving bonus each year.  In the past, I would use the entire amount on just this one meal.  It’s a bonus, so why not splurge?  But last year, circumstances were different and we found ourselves in a really tight spot at the holidays.  I had to make that bonus stretch to cover both Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I set out to plan a Thanksgiving meal for 6 for under $50.  I ended up coming in much lower last year at about $35 by shopping carefully and using coupons!  You don’t have to miss out just because your budget is tight.

Here’s the menu I have planned:

Menu

Roasted Turkey

Pan gravy

Fresh Green Bean Casserole

Mashed Potatoes

Stuffing

Cranberry Sauce

Rolls

Pumpkin Pie

Here’s a complete breakdown of the ingredients you’ll need for this feast:
